Datapro, Inc., one of the world’s premiere software development companies, is dedicated to streamlining business processes for the banking industry. For more than three decades, we have developed integrated banking systems to help financial institutions operate more efficiently, gain enhanced ROI and deliver higher levels of customer care. From our offices in the U.S., Datapro services more than 160 customers in 31 countries. The spectrum of customers we currently work with range from the agencies of foreign banks in the U.S. to offshore banks in Central and South America and the Caribbean, and varies from smaller banks with only a few employees to large commercial banks with thousands of employees and millions of customers.

History and Timeline

Today: Leveraging advanced technology, Datapro offers a comprehensive portfolio of fully integrated products designed to meet the challenges confronting the modern banking industry. The system is currently installed with over 160 Customers in 28 Countries (USA, México, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe).

  • 1976

    Datapro is established in Miami, Florida. The company has 38 years of experience. Initially, the company offered only consulting services to diverse industries.

  • 1982

    Datapro consolidates its market position with the growth of International Banking in South Florida during the eighties and announces the first version of the Integrated Banking System (IBS), jointly developed with Banco Latino and designed to meet the requirements of an international bank. From this point onward, the company’s focus shifted totally to the financial services industry. Datapro quickly becomes the main supplier of international banking solutions in the city of Miami, with an ultimate grouping of 37 banks citywide using its proprietary IBS® system.

  • 1989

    the system is marketed in Latin America, and Datapro establishes an international presence throughout Latin America. In response to market needs, Datapro’s IBS® is modified and grows in functionality and integration, transforming itself into a flexible banking application that satisfies the needs of both international and commercial banks. In the process, the IBS® is customized for the specific needs and regulations of each country where it is installed.

  • 1994

    Datapro begins the diversification of its product line, integrating developments in the client server environment. e-IBS® grows in functionality, leveraging the banking knowledge of its customers and implementing the regulatory and commercial practices of all the countries where it is installed.

  • 1999

    The company begins development in “WEB Browser” environment and announces its first Internet banking product (d-IBS), designed to meet the requirements of personnel.

  • 2000

    The web browser platform version of the IBS® system is created.

  • 2003

    Datapro establishes GLOBAL outsource services, an affiliate company, providing services to financial institutions in need of a reliable alternative to in-house data processing.

  • 2004

    Global Outsource Services expands to provide outsourcing services (ASP) to customers that desire these services and choose not to maintain their own IT infrastructure.

  • 2008

    Datapro establishes a Software Factory in Nicaragua.

  • 2009

    Datapro releases its 100% Java eIBS Core.

  • 2010

    Datapro establishes a new Banking Consulting Division.
    Datapro establishes Software Factory in Panama City, Panama.

  • 2012

    Datapro establishes a new Credit Card Processing Services company named “PROFECARD”.

  • 2013

    Datapro establishes a Software Factory in Colombia and Chile.
